How long have you been working for Damen?
“I have been working at Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen since 1 April 2022, so it hasn’t been very long, but I am hoping it will be for a lot longer.”
What does your job entail?
“My job requires me to work with others and also sometimes alone on various projects. I work with detailed drawing and various tools to help finish the job needed. That can either be building something new out of steel or trying to repair the original parts to make them better again.”
What do you enjoy most about your job?
“I have always preferred working with my hands, and I also try to learn new ideas and skills when I can. Also, it’s great working on different projects and seeing the jobs getting completed to our clients’ satisfaction. I like meeting new people and having the chance to work with all my new colleagues as well.”
Kris Cox started working for Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen in April last year and hopes to be there for many years to come.
What can we wake you up at night for?
“I always love to help all the time so, if needed, I am available day and night to help in any way possible.”
Do you have any hidden talents or special hobbies?
“I wouldn’t say I have any specials talents or hobbies in general, but I love cooking and baking. I find it relaxing. I also like to bake with my children, and I also love going to cinema or play area with them.”
