Damen Naval is offering recruitment bonuses of €1,000, €2,000, and €3,000 to employees who recruit a suitable candidate for the company’s many vacancies. In part due to the F126 project, the company is looking to fill some 50 vacancies. Almost every department is looking for new colleagues.

To fill these vacancies, Damen Naval introduced an employee recruitment bonus two years ago. While this initiative was successful, it has now been decided to make the reward even more attractive to employees. As of 2023, per calendar year, your first golden tip will be worth €1,000, the second €2,000, and the third and every subsequent one as much as €3,000.

“We have a great workforce with a lot of qualities and talent in our organisation. We are hoping that these people have a network with comparable talent, and that they can persuade their friends and acquaintances to apply for a job with us,” says HR Advisor Jeroen van Mierlo says HR Advisor Jeroen van Mierlo, who, together with HR Advisors Esther van Oorschot and Joanne Gijzel, is responsible for recruiting new employees. “Since recruitment is currently a tough job in challenging times, we are looking for help from our own personnel,” adds Jeroen. ”And we hope to encourage their support with the new bonus scheme.”

Employees may be eligible for the recruitment bonus if the candidate mentions their name in the cover letter when applying. The recruitment bonus is paid out if this candidate is hired and completes the probationary period successfully. All employees can participate except MT and HR. Managers are excluded for positions for which they are directly responsible. Subcontractors, hired employees and former employees are not eligible for the bonus scheme.

Potential candidates must also meet certain conditions: they have not been employed by Damen Naval for at least 12 months; and they must be given a contract for a permanent position, rather than a temporary contract, or as a subcontractor, et cetera.
