For the first time in three years, the Damen Naval Summer BBQ could take place again. On a sunny and warm day more than 550 colleagues gathered in and around Hall 2 at Vlissingen-Oost for a party with a tropical touch. Thanks to the decor provided by Arnolds Light and Sound, the terrain looked like a music festival, with lounge chairs, hammocks, terraces, inflatable swimming pools and more.

Managing Director Hein van Ameijden opened the festivities with a short welcome speech and declared the buffet open. A variety of BBQ dishes were served, including a Build-Your-Own-Hamburger station, and vegetarian and halal options were also available. The refreshing drinks from the mocktail bar were very popular and the ice cream cart was also crowded.
